Make Up Time: Difference between Concealer and Color Corrector

Before & After: Applying both Concealer and Color Corrector

Honestly, I have been using concealer for years because of the dark circles under my eyes. I used to wear only concealer under my eyes when I had normal dark circles that weren't so dark. The concealer is the same tone as my complexion just a tad bit lighter, concealers have to be 1-2 shades lighter.

Tips on where to apply concealer

It does not cover my scars nor the dark marks on my face very well because the concealer is too dark. I use bareMinerals: Correcting Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Deep 2
I love this concealer got it from Sephora, I have been using it for two years. The concealer is used for lighter dark circles unless you cake on layers and layers on your eyes; that would be a bad idea because it is noticeable and harder to blend.

Color Corrector

I have been introduced to a great color corrector when I got my birthday makeover at Ulta Beauty, I use it on a daily basis under my concealer. The color is 3 times lighter than my concealer; I use it under my eyes my dark circles have gotten a lot darker because of long hours at work and staying up at night. I use iT cosmetics: Bye Bye Under Eye Corrector Rich it is a miracle to find something that covers up the dark marks on my face underneath the foundation. The light color lightens the dark circles more than a regular concealer would.
The peach based ones are better for my darker complexion, they also have pink based ones for pale complexions.

*** In some cases, you may need to use a concealer on top of the corrector because the concealer's job is to neutralize the green and blue tones under the eyes. It helps to avoid  layering too much concealer and foundation to cover up the dark circles.
