Maintaining Curly Ethnic Hair: Tamera Mowry-Housley shares her process

Tia and Tamera was known on Sister Sister for their gorgeous curly locs. The Mowry sisters are half Afro-Bahamian and half Caucasian. Their huge puffy ringlets that we love to see them wear they've been taking care of since they were kids.
Tamera Mowry-Housley shares tips on How to Tame that natural curly hair. She does her hair in these following steps:
  • Stop using a towel IMMEDIATELY! switch to a plain cotton t-shirt after washing your hair.
  • Dry your hair by sections only once so you don't lose the volume.
  • Wrap it up like a turban-wrap using a t-shirt not a towel
  • Wait and let the shirt soak up the water for 5-15 minutes (whatever your preference is)
  • Go ahead and unwrap your hair and style as normal
  • If you use leave-in conditioners or oils you can place them in after removing the t-shirt
  • Keep experimenting until you find the right solution for you
